Church of the Good Shepherd, Haywards Heath, West Sussex - 17th January 2004

This attractive modern Anglican church is situated in Gravelye Lane, in the Franklands Village area of the town.

Franklands village was built between 1933 and 1939.  From 1948 services were held in a room above the village Hall and on Sunday the 5th December 1965 a new wooden church was dedicated on land leased from the landowners of the village.  The church was extended in the early 1990s.

The first priest in charge was the Rev. Lawrence Nobbs and the first wedding was held in October 1968.
