Apart from historic photographs, unless otherwise stated, all photos on this site were taken by  members of my family.

Please don't republish them without my permission.  Thanks.

This is my main hobby and has become a bit of an all consuming pastime.  I have even roped Alan in for some of my excursions to records offices!

I have exported all of my family history into web pages on this site.  You can access it  from  My Family Tree

The database also contains many individuals and families who have no proven connection to my family lines, however, as there is a possibility they may later prove to be related, I leave them in, although as 'disconnected' for the time being!

I have included a simple family tree diagram of my mothers family under Butler History.

The Collins History will eventually link to my electronic book about my paternal line - this is still being written!

At the start of 2003 I have added a new Ancestor Album, which contains some of the images of antique photographs handed down from past generations.  There are many unidentified people here - so if you have any clues on who they may be please email me!

In addition, we have recently started work on Alan's family tree, the rather limited results of our work are available here.

The Vital Records section contains transcriptions of various documents, primarily parish records.

Here is a picture of Myself (standing) with Alan and Mum (kneeling) taking notes about a Fanner grave we found in Wiltshire during 2003 - sometimes this hobby means getting your hands (and knees!) dirty!
