This church is situated in New England Road and was opened in September 1967, replacing an earlier building.
After a few years of the Independent Evangelical Mission, members built the first church in 1936, with classroom, vestries and offices at a cost of £1500. The foundation stone of the current building was laid in March 1967 by Miss A R Robinson. The opening ceremony was performed by the oldest church member, 74 year old Mrs Harriet Stevens who cut a tape at the entrance.
The building can accommodate over 300 people and contains a baptismal pool for baptism by total immersion. The former church is used as a church hall at the rear of the building.
