Former St Michael's Chapel, Convent of the Holy Child, St Leonards, East Sussex - 12th September 2004

This Gothic Revival chapel was formerly part of the Roman Catholic Convent of the Holy Child founded by Mother Cornelia Connelly in about 1846.  It was begun by A Q N Pugin in 1848 but remained unfinished for 20 years until it was completed by E W Pugin.  The convent closed in 1974 and the current use is unknown, but certainly it seems that maintenance of the roof is under way.
