Holy Trinity, Eastbourne, East Sussex - 15th September 2005

Situated in Trinity Trees, this building was designed by Decimus Burton and built in 1838-9 in the Early English style of flint with stone dressings.  There is a north west tower and many later additions.

The church acquired parish status in 1847, when the east end was enlarged.  The tower lost a pinnacle twice through lightening in the 1850s; all seemed intact in 2005!

Parked cars (a major problem in Eastbourne) and surrounding trees made obtaining decent photographs impossible.
