Rigg Mill, near Whitby, Yorkshire

Here is a nice view of this mill from a Hartmann postcard in my collection which was posted in 1908.

Watermill, Rigg, Whitby, Yorkshire

The mill in situated three miles north-west of Robin Hood's Bay and can be reached through Larpool Woods  by a pathway.  It is thought a Mill has been here since before 1316, as there exists an account of a dispute between the Abbot of Whitby, who owned the land, and Sir Alexander de Percy, the tenant.
