St Cyriac, Lacock, Wiltshire - 21st September 2003

Lacock is a village wholly owned by the National Trust  and remains much as it would have been in the eighteenth century.  As well as the famous abbey, the parish church is well worth a visit.

The building has been a centre of worship since Norman, and possibly, Saxon times.

Here is a stained glass window depicting the Old Testament characters, Joseph, Joshua and Daniel ("As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.")

These two faces are carved into the stonework of the porch, which also has a fabulous vaulted ceiling.
