Elizabeth Talbot, Duchess of Norfolk, and Elizabeth Tilney, Countess of Surrey surmounted by the coat of arms of the Mowbray family. Elizabeth Tilney was the wife of Thomas Howard, Earl of Surrey, Commander of the Battle of Flodden, 1513. This image is erroneously often considered to be the inspiration for the artist John Tenniel for the Dutchess in Alice in Wonderland. | A mythological face.
