Situated at the end of a long and winding track, the church is set hard up against Hall farm, with no other properties visible.
The tower and timbered porch are both 15th century, however inside was a locked door; no sanctuary here for wandering pilgrims. I try very hard to understand why so many parishioners value their church property more than the gospel imperatives of hospitality and welcome, but fail to see the point of a lovely building like this which is only unlocked a few times a month for a service. In this case the words above the door, "Come unto me", are particularly ironic.

I found the church locked and absolutely no sign of life whatsoever.
