The Parish Church of Taunton with its enormous, and very fine perpendicular tower. This tower was constructed in 1508, however following structural issues caused by the heavy bells (and substantial corrosion to the stonework), it was faithfully dismantled and rebuilt in replica in the 1850s, supervised by the architect Sir Gilbert Scott. The tower is the tallest of a parish church in Somerset and said by some to be one of the finest in the country.
