On a journey home from Devon we called to visit Montecute, both the house and the church. It was a blisteringly hot day, and it was very pleasant to enter the cool of the church out of the sun.
The board outside the building spells the patrons name as St Catherine, however in other places in the building it is spelt Katherine.
The church is built on a very grand scale, with the base of the tower open to the nave through a large arch, an organ mounted in a lofty position above the door and aisles both north and south.

The organ appears to be built into a room above the entrance porch. I liked the lavender lined path leading to the door.
