This building is in Knapp Road, facing St James Square (almost opposite St Gregory the Great Catholic Church).
The building was erected in 1820-21 (the plaque at the apex reads 1821) and was formerly the Bethel Baptist Chapel. It replaces a smaller chapel of 1701-2 on the same site. The Baptists closed their chapel in 1951 It was then used by the Mormons who in turn passed it on to the Christadelphians.
