This Anglican church, at the junction of Stanford Avenue and Florence Road, is closed (c.2002) and the building and neighbouring hall were up for sale for redevelopment when photographed.
The church was founded in an iron church in 1894 as St Augustine of Canterbury, Preston and the permanent building followed in 1896. Following the closure of St Saviour's, the congregations merged as St Augustine and St Saviour, Brighton.
