This building was erected in 1864 in the Decorated style on the site of an earlier church. The north west porch extends upwards to an unusual octagonal tower.
The interior contains a monument, attributed to Westmacott) commemorating Cordelia Sayer, at one time engaged to Edward Milward (b. 1756), Mayor of Hastings.
This wooden grave board is at the back of the churchyard, it reads "Henry Urling Whelpton 1860 - 1935, with Edith Beatrice his wife, 1874 - 1952. Priest R.I.P."
Here is a view of the south side of the church from the church yard.
