St Philip Parish Church, Burwash Weald, East Sussex - 7th February 2004

The church board says this is Burwash Weald, the map calls the hamlet Burwash Common.

Here is the view of the church and war memorial as seen from the path which approaches the church from the east.

The church of St Philip's was built in 1867, in the area originally known as the Common.  In 1877 the Common and Wheel were formed into a parish. Prior to this date, the area was in the parish of Burwash .

This is the view from the path which enters of the church yard in the south western corner.
