This Roman Catholic Church was erected in 1939/40 and was designed by Mr Marshall Wood of Hove. The style includes Romanesque arches and is executed in red brick.

The patron saint is depicted in a niche on the west front, above the foundation stone.

The dedication is in Latin, but contains the date of construction. The rest is beyond my mostly forgotten school boy Latin, although I do recognise the word Episcopus, Bishop.
